On Tuesday, China’s foreign ministry issued a warning to Argentina that cutting ties with major countries such as China or Brazil would be a “serious mistake.” This was in response to the election of Javier Milej as President of Argentina, who has criticized China and Brazil and stated that he would not deal with “communists.”

The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Mao Ning, made the statement at a regular press conference. She emphasized the importance of relations with China for Argentina, stating that it is an important trade partner for the country.

Diana Mondino, an economist who is expected to become foreign minister under Miley’s administration, has stated that Argentina will not join the BRICS group. This news agency reported that Mondino said her country would stop communicating with the governments of China and Brazil when asked about exports and imports with those countries.

In response to this news, Mao reiterated the importance of cooperation between Argentina and China. She stated that the two sides have strong economic complementarity and enormous potential for cooperation. Furthermore, she emphasized that China is willing to continue working together with Argentina to promote stability and long-term development of bilateral relations.
