Cincinnati Bengals star quarterback Joe Burrow’s injury has led to the filing of a class action lawsuit by Dave Portnoy, founder and owner of Barstool Sports. The lawsuit targets the NFL and the Bengals, with Portnoy claiming that he would not have placed a $120,000 bet on the Bengals to cover the four-point spread against the Baltimore Ravens if he had known about Burrow’s injury beforehand.

Portnoy posted a screenshot of his bet on Twitter, just hours before Burrow left the game with an injury to his right wrist. The photo was later deleted, leading some to speculate that it was an iPad glove on his wrist. However, Burrow stated that he was wearing a compression device on his hand/wrist on the plane, emphasizing that it was unrelated to his injury during the game.

The NFL is now investigating the Bengals to determine if they violated their injury report policy, adding fuel to this already controversial situation. Portnoy has made it clear that he is not backing down from his decision and will continue to fight for what he believes is right. The outcome of this lawsuit remains uncertain as more information becomes available.
