On Sunday morning, a traffic accident occurred on the A1 highway near Drežnik, Karlovac, as reported by the local police department. According to their statement, a 55-year-old man driving a passenger car with Ogulin license plates collided with the rear of a police vehicle with Zagreb license plates that was being driven by a 56-year-old man. The force of the impact caused both vehicles to crash into a metal guardrail on the central belt and bounce back onto the roadway.

The collision resulted in serious injuries for the 55-year-old man and slight injuries for both the 56-year-old driver and his 53-year-old passenger. As per protocol, the 56-year-old driver will be issued a mandatory misdemeanor order for causing the traffic accident. Additionally, a report will be forwarded to the competent state attorney for further investigation. The police are urging motorists to drive safely and obey all traffic regulations in order to prevent such accidents from occurring in the future.
