The Central High School football team will be playing in the PIAA Class 3A playoffs on Friday, just a short drive from home. As the District 6 champ, they will face off against District 10 champ Hickory at Mansion Park at 7 p.m. The last time they played together was in a double-overtime win over Clearfield in their first interdistrict game.

Meanwhile, Cambria Heights has just won its first-ever District 6 championship and will be heading to the state Class 1A playoffs with a Saturday matchup against District 4 champ South Williamsport. The game will take place at Williamsport High School at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Additionally, District 6’s top teams are also competing in the playoffs: Bald Eagle Area, who won the title in District 6’s Class AA division, will take on Southern Columbia at Mansion Park on Friday at 7 p.m., while Juniata, who claimed victory as District 6’s Class AAA champion, will travel to Selinsgrove for a matchup also starting at 7 p.m., also on Friday.
