Cibona’s basketball players had an amazing night, winning their third consecutive victory in the ABA league by defeating the favored Student center in Podgorica with a score of 101-93. They scored 20 three-pointers, setting a remarkable shooting record. The top scorers for Cibona were American Alex Stein with 23 points, Aleksandar Aranitović with 21 points and six assists, Domagoj Proleta with 18 points, shooting four out of five three-pointers, and Ivan Majcunić with 17 points and five out of six three-pointers. For the Student Center, Mateo Drežnjak was the top scorer with 25 points.

Cibona started off strong but lost their offensive rhythm in the first quarter, allowing the home team to gain a double-digit lead. However, they made a comeback in the second half thanks to better three-point shooting. The team continued their impressive shooting performance in the third quarter, hitting seven out of seven three-pointer attempts and gaining a 15-point advantage. Despite threats of a turnaround in the final quarter, Cibona secured their victory by breaking through Podgorica’s defense with more three-pointers.

As a result of this win, Cibona temporarily jumped to ninth place in the league while the Student center is currently sitting in fifth place. The leaders of the league are Budućnost and runner-up Crvena zvezda who have both won six out of seven games so far.
