The Eagles’ offense was struggling in the third quarter of Monday Night Football, and it wasn’t until Jalen Hurts scored his eighth rushing touchdown of the season that they were able to keep up with their opponents. His 10-yard sprint to the end zone on a designed run brought them within 17-14, giving hope to the struggling team.
Despite gaining only 85 yards on their first seven possessions, with 70 coming from the touchdown drive, the Eagles managed to put together a crucial seven-play, 61-yard scoring drive. This brought their total yards to 146 and kept them in the game.
D’Andre Swift had rushed for 78 yards on 11 carries and Hurts had four carries for just 16 yards. Hurts was also just 8-of-13 for 69 yards with an interception, while A.J. Brown had only one catch for just eight yards.
