Virginia Ruth “Ginger” Carpino, 67, of Gainesville, Va., formerly of Altoona, passed away on Tuesday, October 17th, 2023. She was the loving daughter of the late Earl and E. Louise Woomer. Ginger is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Anthony Carpino; her loving children, Anthony Carpino and Rachel (Phillip) Zierke; brother, Fred (Martha) Woomer; sisters, Denise (the late John) Woomer and Marlene (James) Hahn; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.

Ginger was a graduate from Altoona Area High School Class of 1974 and Clarion College Class of 1978. Her friendly smile and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The visitation and services were held privately in Manassas, Virginia.
