The Pittsburgh Steelers will be without two of their starting safeties for the game at Cleveland on Sunday. Minkah Fitzpatrick, who has been out with a hamstring injury since a loss to Jacksonville on Oct. 29, will miss his third straight game. Keanu Neal, who sustained a rib injury during a fourth-quarter interception against Green Bay last Sunday, will also sit out.
Damontae Kazee will make his third consecutive start in place of Fitzpatrick, while Trenton Thompson, who joined the Steelers during training camp and was elevated off the practice squad last week, will make his first NFL start with Neal out. Montravius Adams, who has been out with an ankle injury since a loss to Houston on Oct. 1, will miss his second straight game and is likely to be replaced by rookie Keeanu Benton.
Tight end Pat Freiermuth, who was activated off injured reserve Wednesday after missing six games due to a hamstring injury, is questionable for the game against Cleveland. Veteran defensive end Cam Heyward, who returned from a torn groin muscle last week and missed one day of practice and was limited in two others, is expected to play despite his limited practice schedule.
