Foundation Provides Support for Proactive Pediatric Mental Health Care

In October, the Superior Health Foundation held its fall grant award celebration and awarded $722,065.93 in proactive pediatric mental health grants to six organizations. These included Michigan State University – Department of Pediatrics and Human Development, Upper Peninsula Health Care Solutions, Inc., Great Lakes Recovery Centers, Inc., Catholic Social Services of the Upper Peninsula, Northern Michigan University and Marquette-Alger RESA. The event was presented by 44North.

The Superior Health Foundation has announced that it will be awarding pediatric mental health grants over a two-year period. The organization has allocated $722,065.93 for this initiative to support organizations working towards improving the mental health of children in the region.

The six organizations that were awarded grants include Michigan State University – Department of Pediatrics and Human Development, Upper Peninsula Health Care Solutions, Inc., Great Lakes Recovery Centers, Inc., Catholic Social Services of the Upper Peninsula, Northern Michigan University and Marquette-Alger RESA. These organizations will use the funds to implement programs and initiatives aimed at improving the mental wellbeing of children in the region.

At a recent event hosted by 44North, representatives from these organizations accepted their grant awards from the Superior Health Foundation. They expressed their gratitude for this opportunity to support children’s mental health and thanked everyone involved in making this possible.
