Hawaii’s women’s basketball team suffered a 50-40 loss to Idaho in the Bank of Hawaii Classic on Sunday night at the Stan Sheriff Center, leaving them with a 1-3 record for the season. Rainbow Wahine players Imani Perez and Daejah Phillips contributed 12 points each, but their shooting was poor, with a combined percentage of just 29.4% (15 of 55) from the field and 4 of 21 from behind the arc.

Brooklyn Rewers pulled down nine rebounds but was held to only two points. Sarah Brans led Idaho with 12 points, despite the Vandals actually shooting worse than UH at a 25.5% overall rate. However, Idaho won the rebounding battle by four points.

Next up for Hawaii is the Rainbow Wahine Showdown, where they will take on Air Force on Friday, Idaho State on Saturday and Washington on Sunday.
