The Family Science Week showcase event at MTU Kerry North Campus over the weekend was a resounding success, with many attendees capturing the scientific spirit in various ways. Among those photographed enjoying themselves at the event were Aliyah Bruse and Rebekah Landy, who were seen having a great time at the showcase.

Meanwhile, 10-year-old Eoin McMillan was also captured getting into the scientific spirit, as was Daithi Nolan, Keely Flaherty, and Lily Walsh who were photographed with Robert Cooke. TY student Muireann Hussey from Mercy Mounthawk in Tralee was captured testing the skin of Daithi Nolan at the showcase event, which was a part of National Science Week.

The showcase event included a wide variety of activities such as VR experiences, scientific testing, robotics, weather forecasting, electric vehicle display, sustainable food making, zoology, book reading, children’s sustainable recycling workshop and slime experiments among others. Organizers described it as a fantastic day of free entertainment and noted the wonder in the children’s eyes at the range of activities available to them.

Sisters August Culhane and Sheeryn Culhane were also photographed at the event while six-year-old Keelan Wren and Aidan Nkomo were captured enjoying the VR experience. The busy weekend at MTU’s North Campus in Tralee included other events such as talks on climate change and renewable energy by experts from Munster Technological University (MTU).
