As winter approaches, the excitement for ski season is palpable. Several ski resorts can be found near Kansas City and St. Louis in Missouri. Hidden Valley Ski Resort in Wildwood, managed by Tony Santora, is one such resort that has been preparing for the upcoming season.

Santora shared that the resort makes all the snow that skiers use and that it takes about four days of continuous snowmaking to make enough snow to open. The snowmaking process is dependent on a wet bulb temperature, which determines when they are able to make snow. With final preparations underway, the staff is being brought on board and beginners can take advantage of lessons offered at the resort.

Missouri ski resorts offer a range of activities for enthusiasts during the winter season, including skiing, snow tubing, snowboarding and lessons for beginners. As anticipation builds, these resorts are gearing up for the start of ski season and eager to welcome visitors from near and far.
