Marquette, MI — Northern Michigan University (NMU) and Marquette Junior Hockey (MJH) have agreed to a partnership that will provide numerous benefits for the youth hockey program and the sport itself. The agreement includes several key components, such as:

* NMU designating one of its hockey games each season as Youth Hockey Night

* Providing 20 complimentary tickets for each home game that can be distributed throughout the MJH organization

* Advertising MJH in the Wildcats’ home Berry Events Center, with discounts provided for its players to join the Young Wildcat Club

* Offering fundraising opportunities, such as group game ushers, 50-50 raffle ticket sellers and chuck-a-puck sellers

Ryan Higbie, President of MJH, stated in a recent news release that “Marquette Junior Hockey appreciates the opportunities and visibility this agreement will provide for our players.” He added that he would like to thank NMU head hockey coach Grant Potulny and athletic director Rick Comley for their enthusiasm about this partnership.
