In the spirit of unity and collaboration, the Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department and the village of Saranac Lake are excited to announce that the 10th annual Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Truck Parade and Tree Lighting will return on Friday, December 1 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The event kicks off with a fire truck parade, where area fire departments will gather together to light up the town with festive holiday lights. Santa Claus will be there too, making a special appearance as the parade route takes fire trucks from Broadway to Main Street.
Following the parade, everyone is invited to join in a tree lighting ceremony in Berkeley Green from 6:15 to 7:00 p.m. The Northern Lights Choir will lead a sing-along while warm cookies and hot cocoa are available next to the bonfire.
Kids can have an exciting encounter with Santa Claus from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., where they can share their wish lists and capture the moment with a photo at the Saranac Lake Free Library.
At 7:30:00 pm, a massive tree donated by Moody Tree Farm will be lit up in Riverside Park, bringing even more joy and cheer to the community during this special holiday season event.
This event would not be possible without the support and collaboration of several valued organizations such as Women’s Civic Chamber, Saranac Lake Free Library, Adirondack Health, and Northern Lights Choir among others who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this event happen for all residents of Saranac Lake
