The TGL golf league, founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, has delayed its debut by one year. The owners and key partners of the entertainment group have decided to wait until 2025 to ensure that the arena at Palm Beach State College is fully repaired before launching the league. According to a statement from TGL, damage to the dome portion of the arena cannot be fixed in time for the planned January 9th debut.

Meanwhile, Sergio Dest forced the United States to play with a man short in a dispute with the referee during a Copa America qualifier against Trinidad and Tobago on Monday night. Despite losing 2-1, the U.S. won the total-goals series 4-2, thanks to goals from Antonee Robinson in the 25th minute and Alvin Jones and Reon Moore from Trinidad. Tim Ream, captain of the U.S., revealed that there were “choice words” for Dest at halftime after he received two yellow cards for disputes with the referee. However, Ream declined to comment further on what was said publicly.

The U.S. finished their year with 11 wins, four losses and three draws, marking their first year without qualifying for World Cup since 1986
