During Monday Night Football, Chiefs receiver Mecole Hardman suffered a thumb injury in the first half, leaving him questionable to return to the game. Despite his injury, Hardman made one catch for 5 yards. In his absence, several other players on the team can take over at the position, including Rashee Rice, Kadarius Toney, Justin Watson, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling.

At this point in the game, the score remains tied at 7-7 with both quarterbacks having thrown interceptions. L’Jarius Sneed intercepted Jalen Hurts on a throw to A.J. Brown who was wide open due to changing his route but the pass was underthrown. The Chiefs then advanced to the Philadelphia 14 only for Kevin Byard to intercept Patrick Mahomes in the end zone on a pass intended for Justin Watson who was responsible for the team’s only touchdown so far.
