Top performers from Memphis area high school spring sports in Week 4

The Memphis area high school spring sports saw some impressive performances in Week 4 of the 2024 season. In baseball, CBHS defeated Houston 11-1, with Riley Goodman as the winning pitcher with eight strikeouts in three innings. Hank Stalnaker had two RBIs and two stolen bases, while Holden Robinson and Will Brick each had two RBIs. FACS beat Lausanne 12-6, with Kayden Hartunian as the winning pitcher.

In softball, Brighton defeated Collierville 12-0, with Aliya Garcia going 3-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs scored. Houston took down Bartlett 11-10, with Maddie McClure going 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Maci Frederick was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs scored, while Ella McKnight had two hits and two runs scored. St. Benedict beat Munford 2-0, with Jorja Wheeler pitching a complete game, allowing three hits and striking out 11. Izzy Henderson and Charlee Smith had two hits each. Arlington defeated Southwind 16-0, with Brooklynn Knight as the winning pitcher.

In boys soccer, Northpoint defeated Brighton 6-0, with Miller Lashlee scoring five goals and an assist, while Eli Bailey had three assists. In girls lacrosse, ECS beat St. George’s 10-8, with Sarah Grace Clinton scoring six goals and Rachel Cochran scoring three goals.

On Monday, Briarcrest defeated Munford 6-0 in boys soccer, with Chandler Cross and Coleman Loving scoring two goals each, and Andrew Painter contributing a goal and an assist. If you have box scores and statistics to submit, please send them to sports@commercialappeal.com.
