In the early hours of Sunday morning, Israeli aerial bombardments struck the central and southern Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of 15 Palestinians. The attacks took place in Khan Yunis near the European Hospital. Meanwhile, two Palestinians were killed during Israeli army incursions into the West Bank early Sunday, one at the entrance to a refugee camp in Jenin and another shot dead in Dheisheh refugee camp south of Bethlehem.
Israel has been carrying out a ground operation aimed at “wiping out” Hamas since October 27, following a Hamas attack on October 7 that resulted in the deaths of 1,200 people and the taking of 240 hostages. According to the Palestinian Authority, more than 12,500 Palestinians have been killed and over 32,000 have been injured since the start of Israel’s aggression on Gaza. The situation remains extremely volatile and dangerous in the region.
