German retail sales decline exceeds expectations

Joe Lieberman, the former Democratic candidate for vice-president in 2000, passed away at the age of 82. He had left the Democratic party and was supporting a third-party bid for the White House this year. The former Senator from Connecticut died suddenly due to complications from a fall, as announced by his family on Wednesday. They described Lieberman as someone who loved God, his family, and America, and who worked in the public interest throughout his life.

Lieberman was known for representing the center in US politics, a position that was becoming increasingly isolated. He was the founding chair of No Labels, a bipartisan group that aimed to launch a presidential ticket to challenge Joe Biden and Donald Trump in the upcoming election. However, the group had not yet found suitable candidates for the campaign.
