The Children’s Museum of Wilmington is hosting a celebration for the 2024 NC Science Festival on Saturday with the theme “State of Innovation.” The Museum will be offering a morning full of activities focused on technology and innovation. Visitors can enjoy hands-on activities that allow them to engage with technology without a screen and imagine themselves as scientists. Some activities include engineering a scribblebot, creating binary code bracelets, and exploring virtual reality to go under the sea. Special guests from Geosyntec, North American Young Generation in Nuclear, and the UNC Chapel Hill Computer Science Department will also be present.
The Museum will be open for regular exploration in addition to the NC Science Festival activities. The North Carolina Science Festival takes place every April and offers hundreds of events across the state that focus on fun, interactive science learning opportunities. This month-long celebration of science highlights the educational, cultural, and financial impact of science in North Carolina. Science plays an important role in childhood development, helping to build essential skills for learning and creating a foundation for scientific understanding. This year’s event, “Inspiring Innovation at CMoW,” will provide young learners with the opportunity to test ideas, explore technology, and imagine themselves as scientists.
The NC Science Festival celebration at the Children’s Museum of Wilmington will take place on Saturday, April 13th, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online for $5 for members and $15 for non-members. So, don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to engage with technology, learn about innovation, and explore the world of science at the Children’s Museum of Wilmington.
