Tom Duever will be completing his second and final term as dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science (FEAS) on January 31, 2025. To ensure a smooth transition and in accordance with the university’s policy for the Appointment of Academic Administrators (AAA policy), a search committee will be established for the dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science.
The formation of the committee and the subsequent search process will follow TMU’s policies and procedures and will uphold best practices on equity, diversity, and inclusion, harassment prevention, and access. Eligible members of the academic units will receive detailed information on important dates and nominations directly from the Senate Office.
Since joining TMU in 2014, Tom has been a highly respected senior academic administrator, accomplished researcher, and teacher. Known for his collegiality and supportive leadership style, Tom has made significant contributions to the university during his two terms as dean.
